SEALIFE Bangkok Ocean World

Thailand has received some harsh criticism from Westerners in recent years because of animal welfare issues. However, SEALIFE in Bangkok is actually a worthwhile attraction to visit without the guilt. The aquarium is located in the basement of SIAM Paragon Mall. Explore the different species together with the kids such as the colorful fish, starfish, and penguins. Walk the underwater tunnel for some amazing encounters, and take a trip in the glass bottom boat.
Looking for a perfect family day out in an American-style theme park? In Bangkok, Dream World is your best option. The park is made up of four different zones and offers more than 40 family-friendly attractions. Ride the roller coasters, visit the haunted house with your kids, and experience sub-zero temperature at Snow World. Then cool down in one of the popular water rides!
Fantasy Lagoon at the Mall Bangkapi
There are a number of water play parks around Bangkok, but expats to the city swear by Fantasy Lagoon. This water park is located on the rooftop of the Mall Bangkapi and is perfect for younger children under 10. It may not be the biggest water park in Bangkok, but it’s cheap enough and the equipment is in good condition. Why not combine a visit with a shopping spree and a fresh meal in the mall downstairs?
Children’s Discovery Museum
This is a wonderful free museum for children. It is set up like a playground, offering children lots of opportunities to explore for themselves. Kids up until 12 years can dig for dinosaur bones, learn how to cook, and build models. Outside, there is a small play area and a water activity, so make sure you pack an extra set of clothes. The Children’s Discovery Museum is located right next to the Chatuchak weekend market.
Playground at Future Park
Unfortunately, Bangkok is riddled with rusty playgrounds and unsafe equipment. A great alternative, however, is the playground next to Future Park Mall, which is maintained by mall management and is in good condition. The mall can be found in the north of the city near Don Muang Airport. There are lots of shady areas, benches for the parents, and guards who ensure that no vandals enter the area. The playground can be found in the south of the mall. Entry is free.
These are just some of the many kid-friendly places you can find in Bangkok. If you have another tip to share, please comment underneath this post!
