30+ photos that will make you want to move to Fiji now
While I am mentally preparing for my next trip – this time a holiday with the family in beautiful Samoa which will take off tomorrow – I am flicking through the leftovers of my Fiji trip, the pictures that somehow wouldn’t fit a story for the blog but are too beautiful to just file away in the depths of my MacBook.
So here are my most favourite Fiji photos without a lot of storytelling. For me, a great away to mentally prepare for two weeks of Samoan bliss, for you hopefully a chance to see even more of the most attractive corners of this island nation.
Flying to Fiji this time, without the kids, I had the unique opportunity to actually enjoy the flight. Plus, there were no fights over the window seat. And look, what great shots I was able to squeeze out of this – an atoll somewhere near New Caledonia and some interesting shots of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu, upon our descent and during take off.
While staying at Starfish Blue I did at lot of exploration on foot – up the hill within the very same neighbourhood, from where there were great panorama views to all sides. Plus, the most beautiful exotic flowers in the brightest of colours.
From the villa’s own garden of course we enjoyed equally enchanting views, and probably the most memorable one will be the one with the rainbow on the day that we saw some drops of rain. Alas, the shooting star I saw that night was too quick for me to capture!
Down on the beach there were great opportunities to capture the unspoilt nature around us – crabs, shells, baby mangroves, strange fruit and colourful bugs all complete the picture of this tropical island paradise.
Lastly, some photos that we did while travelling the roads: sugar cane trucks, sugar cane fields and a traditional chief house.
Anyway, just a quick post to say goodbye and see you in two weeks!
